Introduction to CENT:
The Fuchs CENT system is a sophisticated Equipment Condition Monitoring program based on Used Oil Analysis (and Vibration Analysis). This CENT Service is available in several Fuchs locations worldwide which share their facilities and expertise, making it a global program.
Why Oil Analysis:
The most widely used form of Predictive Maintenance is Oil Analysis. This has been an evolving science with new technologies and applications being developed over the years. Oil Analysis is now considered an essential specialized science within the field of Tribology .
Benefits of CENT:
- Predict failure before it occurs and reduce in-service failure and unscheduled repairs
- Increase output by decreasing downtime
- Reduce maintenance cost by eliminating unnecessary over-hauls and inspections
- Monitor and evaluate operational and maintenance practices and efficiencies
- Establish specific Alarm Limits for each equipment
- Ensure proper lubricants are in use
- Establish proper lubricant drain intervals
- Evaluate equipment designs and applications
Equipment & Tests:
Essentially CENT can be used for all oil-wetted machines, or more specifically, for all types of industries, for all types of equipment and for all types of oils. Tests are carefully selected for each type of equipment to obtain maximum useful information.

Reports:
Two types of reports are provided. The "Text Reports" give the numerical values of the tests and the "Graphical Reports" illustrate the trends of various properties. The "Traffic Light" indicators (Green, Amber, Red) indicate the status of reports (Satisfactory, Caution, Action).
Facilities Provided:
- Sample bottles
- Courier Service for collecting samples (within the Kingdom)
- Reports within 48 hours
- Customer visits for technical support and training
- Suggest sampling methods, Sample points and Sampling techniques
Information required from Customers:
To register in CENT database the following information is required from the customers.
Customer: Name, Report recipients
Equipment: Type, Make, Model, Sample Point, Metallurgy
Oil: Full Name, Hrs/Kms of Oil, Hrs/Kms of Equipment, Sample Date
